Hi all, long time no see since I traded my G35 Coupe in '14.

Started looking at G37/Q60 Verts as a weekend car now that I don't have a toy.

Question for anyone who knows. See that the IPL has about 20 or so more hp, does anyone know if it will respond well to modifications? CAI, etc, etc. Or is it about as good as it will get from the factory?

Thanks
Chad

Maybe a better question would be what gives the extra HP on IPL? Intake, tune/ecu, exhaust?

Any dyno improvements on Sport models getting close to IPL numbers?

Thanks again.

"A new high-flow exhaust partners with a recalibrated ECU to raise output to 348 horsepower (at 7,400 rpm) and 276 pound-feet of torque (at 5,200 rpm), an increase of 18 hp and six pound feet over the standard G37."

Otherwise, to get real power from the 3.7 you really need to consider forced induction. Intake, exhaust, tune will only give so much on those motors.

Yeah only plan on doing intake and exhaust first. As well as a term. Forced induction will be much later down the road.

Just picked up a 2014 S model yesterday.

I just have to save a lot for mods, I think turboing my S13 was cheaper than intake and exhaust on this thing.

I loved the Invidia exhaust I had and got a great deal through Mike. Damn shame you didn't get this before I sold mine or we could have done some swaps.

If you are interested in a set of BC coilovers I have my old set available. Comes with 2 sets of springs and the front strut cartridges had less than 1k miles on them.

I can’t afford any mods for a while. All the small stuff is killing me right now.

Understood. I was about to pull the trigger on modifications for the Q60RS and "had" to put it on hold.

BTW, I believe I still have a new OEM timing belt siting in the garage that I never installed on the coupe if you need it. At some point I need to start selling off the factory parts I still have.

I'll keep that in mind, will be a while before I need the timing belt though.

In the next few weeks I'll be going through my parts stash and getting rid of it all. No reason to hand onto any of it and I would like to get some shed space back as well.

You went through the parts yet?

Probably won't find anything aftermarket I need but thought I'd ask. Even the BC Coils won't fit the Vert as they have a different set just for Vert.

Thanks

Everything else I have would be the factory parts I pulled off. Rotors/pads/brake lines, intakes, plastic under tray, springs, rear sway bar. Don't remember what else.
