I’ve recently purchased an Infiniti G37S 2008, and would like to know how to make my iPhone 5 work with it. Details below...any help would be much appreciated!

CAR
- G37S 2008
- Gulf (Dubai) Spec Model
- The centre console has two input slots – one for the charger, and one set of 3 composite RCA slots (see pic below)

WHAT I WANT TO BE ABLE TO DO
- Control my Iphone music from the Nav screen and steering wheel
- Control my phone contacts from the Nav screen
- Watch iPhone video with sound on the Nav screen

EQUIPMENT AT MY DISPOSAL
- Iphone 5 Lighting to 30-pin adapter http://store.apple.com/us/product/MD823 ... r?fnode=45
- Lightning to HDMI adapter
http://store.apple.com/us/product/MD826 ... r?fnode=45
- Standard HDMI cable
- Standard Composite RCA/AV cable
http://www.datapro.net/products/composi ... e-rca.html

Note that I DO NOT have any Nissan OEM Apple cable.

OTHER EQUIPMENT WHICH FORUMS HAVE SAID MAY HELP
- HDMI to AV Converter
http://www.amazon.com/ViewHD-Universal- ... B0080KN18K

- Apple Composite AV Cable
http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC748 ... e?fnode=45

A SUGGESTION I'VE HEARD SO FAR
- Connect the Iphone 5->Lighting to HDMI Adapter->HDMI Cable->HDMI to AV Converter->RCA cable into car input slots
- Dont know if the above will work, seems quite a lengthy setup

This is an interesting set up. My first thoughts are you are not going to be able to control your phone from your dash through RCA. The lighting cable is digital where RCA is analog. The newer models control it through the USB but even if you have a USB I doubt it will work since it is a few years old. Sorry to be a bummer man. The good news is you can listen to your music. You could always set up a bluetooth receiver to your RCA to play music wireless. There will be a loss but depending on what your listening to you may not even notice.

Jump on ebay and buy one of the factory ipod cables. They are pretty cheap if I remember. Then use the lightning cable for compatibility.

That wont work because I dont have any slots for the OEM cable in my console - only the RCA and charging slots as in the pic.

Interesting, I thought all sport models came with Journey/Premium package which included the 11-speaker system.
