iPhone 3G and 09 Murano

I have a iPhone 3G (2nd level) It will not download my contacts and the cable that came with the car does not work with this phone so I can play the music.I've emailed Nissan at least 4-5 times. I cannot get a reply back from them. Are the asleep at the wheel or don;t read and reply to their email.Someone suggested there might be a bluetooth update I can some how get. Or does anyone know if this issue is being addressed at all. Last I heard or read they are working on it. What is taking so long. The a car has been out over a year and so has the iPhone 3G.
