HELP!! I was blown away when I found out that an iPad doesnt' have Flash capabilities. That is what I wanted it for the most. I wanted to be able to play on videopoker.com and I can't do that on an iPad.

Do you guys have any suggestions for me? This is what I want. Small/lightweight/touch screen..I will mostly use it in my house so wi-fi is fine. All I want is to be able to download movies/books/Facebook/play games and of course play on Nico. I don't want anything real expensive. Suggestions?

i love my iPad and it has replaced my PC laptop on business trip & working at home - its only limitation is lack of flash, no camera and no USB support. If any of these 3 items are a deal breaker than you need to go PC based tablet. If you are hung up on needing to play video p0ker - I am sure there is an app for that!

I'm now thinking about the Dell Inspiron Duo. Looks like it will have everything I need. I wish I could find one to look at in person before I bought it. Must be fairly new.

Why not a netbook? I have in the house only laptops no desktops for years. But when it is time to replace them I will replace probably 2 of them withe netbook. They are dirt cheap and there is less moving parts so less thing can go wrong.

If you can wait until the CES in January, there will be a flood of new Android tablets that will suit your needs. You will have a variety of sizes to choose from (most will likely be 7 - 10 inches, but there may be some as small as 5). They will have assorted options for data plans via cell carriers or wi-fi only versions. They will also offer a variety of price points. They should all be running Gingerbread (Android 2.3) or Honeycomb (3.0). They have Flash preinstalled and are fully customizable; they don't lock down the software and configuration options like Apple does.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab is the only decent alternative at the moment, but it's overpriced. It's also running Froyo (Android 2.2) which is not optimized for tablets.

Thanks for the input everybody. I looked at a Galaxy Tab...it was way too small for me. I decided on the Dell and I know my hubby has already ordered it. I hope I'm happy with it. It is really a hard decision to make...lots of money. :ohno:
