is anyone having this issue. I updated my iphone 5s to the new IOS 8.2 and now i connect the iphone using the USB the songs wont play. I have to go and get the phone and press play on the phone. What makes it worst is that if the songs end and is on shuffle i have to play it again from the phone. Via Bluetooth there is no problem.
i dont know who to blame on this. Apple because every year they makes us go thru this painful software update that in essence is the same crap with minor improvements or nissan for not keeping the radios updated or at least issue a new update on time to avoid this type of situations.

It's not just a simple software patch, that merely requires an update. If you have to blame someone, it would be Apple. Nissan has to wait for Apple to release the iOS update, and then they have to test it and get it to work with their system.

Iphone 6 with 8.02, running fine. I do have to say, when I moved from 5s to 6 via an iCloud restore, I did have to delete all the bluetooth pairings on the radio and phone and I did delete the Nissan connect and re-install it. This way I would get all the prompts to authorize the connections and other security prompts.

no aftermarket cable. However, I'm have Itunes Match. This will show all my music library on the phone. Some songs are not available while i not under wifi connection. They are shown on the playlist but the are skipped or that is what it used to do.
I will try uninstalling the nissan connect app and turning off the itunes match.
