I am interested in buying 2009 Nissan Versa S Hatchback in Canada. I am interested in hearing from the existing owners on any good and bad about this car.

I am also looking for the invoice prices and other deals on Versa S 2009. I would like to hear from recent buyers on the price paid to the dealer.

If you want to know invoice prices, i can email you a credit to get the invoice on the versa from car cost canada. I signed up, and ended up buying a car a couple days after and only used one of mine. PM me your email and i can get that to you.

I recommend you stay away from Walkley Nissan. They tried a bunch of dirty high pressure tactics to try and get me into a 2007 Sentra S when what I wanted was a '08 Versa.

Including having the sales manager, business manager and sales person all in the room with me asking "so why don't you want the Sentra?" after they tried the ole "sales person told me 1.9% financing, but it's actually 3.9%???" bait and switch.

I dealt with Kingston Nissan and they rock. Gave me a $500 military discount and a free tint job on the windows. Paid $15,800.

Amen to that, brother!

My "dealings" with them are detailed elsewhere . . . including lowballing [and general all-around sleaziness]. And the fact that when I went in the salesman [a new guy who just followed company policy] kept asking "how much do you want to pay a month?" and wouldn't answer my "how much will you sell me the car for?" question. Eventually I told him that I could get the car for "X" dollars and he "went to see the sales manager"; I got tired of waiting [when my wife asked why he acted like he did I told her that that was the game some dealerships played]; we got up to leave, the guy miraculously reappeared and said "if you can find that deal, take it!". Two weeks later he called and asked if I was still looking -- it gave me gret pleasure to say "You said that I should take the deal I mentioned so I did". I'm not even going back for service even though it is just a couple of blocks from me.

I bought from RendezVous in Hawkesbury and strongly recommend the dealership (tell them I sent you -- maybe I'll get a free oil change or three out of it) . . . no pressure, did everything via e-mail and telephone -- worth the drive fer sure!

Going to 417 for work -- their service department has impressed me though it has disappointed some others.

Good luck!

You have your homework cut-out for you - read this lengthy blog...

other deals on Versa S 2009.

2008 - if any left or consider Sentra/others. You know 2009 Fit is new from 2008 and @ your Honda dealer next weekend?

Price paid - you can get a general idea by going to Nissan Canada's site and building your own V. Print it out and take it with you to the dealer - they really hate that.

Does 2009 Versa S have abs? If not I would strongly suggest SL or S with abs pkg if available.

Browse this forum well, non-abs Versa have yucky emergency handling.

Decent rep; bought my last car from them and woudn up thinking I got taken a bit, but that was me not getting up from the table.

Again, my story: I sent Walkley, 417, Graham, and Rendezvous an e-mail saying I wanted a Versa and asking what they would do for me; RendezVous got back the next day with a price (that I asked about and the guy I talked with said that he didn't mess around with people who e-mailed for quote and he gave his best/bottom line.

417 got back the next week and said "you probably already bought your wife her car".

the other two didn't reply.

Bought from RendezVous
