I'm looking into buying a fully loaded g35 6MT but dont want to get ripped off. I was just wondering how much some of you guys have paid out the door or if you happen to know a dealer that knows the invoice. This is with the prem pk, nava, aero, and rear steer. thanks a lot.

Welcome to NICO!

I believe the Bremo Brakes were an option in 04, and deleted in 05+. Don't really need 'em though, the G stops on a dime.

Brembo's were dropped in 2005 because they were terrible.

brembos are CRAZY expensive from the dealer...like 600 a rotor and like 150 for the pads or something....

hey i think i can help

i just purchased my g35 6spd last week and think i got a good deal

i took awhile and alot of trips to different dealers but eventually i got it for $500 over the invoice price the dealer pays

the invoice price the dealer pays for the cars can be found on many websites like

http://www.kbb.com or www. edmunds.com

you can even check the invoice price with the specific options you want

go to alot of infiniti dealers and get quotes in writing so you can use it at the next dealership to get a lower price

I ended up paying full sticker on mine...but then again, I had it special ordered straight from the factory. She's pretty much unlike every other G out there. I have read posts here that have ranged from dealer invoice to $1k over. I do agree that you should fish different dealers to get the best price OR at least know what ball park you're going to be in.

As for the Brembo's, I was concerned about that as well when I bought my '05. They do look cool and all, but the one's that come on the car now will stop the thing on a dime!

Your in luck as I work for Infiniti. If you go to Edmunds, their invoices reflect actual dealer invoices. The only thing you're not going to see is the "holdback," which is about 1.5% of MSRP. The brembos were pretty damn bad and they only made them until 05. I'll show you a pic of what happened to me in a Brembo equipped Ger 6MT.

thanks for all the feedback.

does "holdback" mean dealers are able to sell 1.5% of msrp lower than the invoice?

The Brembos don't necessarily stop the car faster. They can simply absorb more heat due to the larger rotors which will reduce the likelihood of brake fade. While they could have simply used a rotor of the same size and stuck with a simpler single or dual piston caliper, and obtained the same results, the Brembos certainly had a marketting factor and perhaps drew some additional attention. The 05+ brakes did increase in size over the 03-04 non-brembos, but are still a bit smaller than the Brembos in both diameter and thickness. I'd speculate the Brembos weren't a significant factor in the sale of the G35's and required they charge a very high amount for brake service, which many complained about. The 350Z only has them on the Track models and now the Grand Touring(including the 35th Anniversary versions). Since these tend to be pricey versions and most liklely picked up by those that are more serious about performance and/or have the money to maintain the car, they don't have to worry about complaints in price as much. In the 03-04 models, all 6MT versions had them so even those with base models had to pay the high maintenance.
