Does anyone have any experience with the invisible mask by 3M? I want to protect my paint and this makes sense. Has anyone applied it themselves? I would appreciate any feedback. Thanks.

I had my friend install my clear bra a couple weeks ago. It wasnt the easiest thing, but with time and lots of patience, I think it can be done. From what I hear, installers charge a lot.

Its worth every penny and more to do the front facia and first one third of the hood. But I highly suggest getting it done professionally as its quite difficult to apply it without bubbles or wrinkles in the film. You will also get a guarrantee from the installer. I even had the front edge of the mirrors done too.

Thanks for your reply. Can you give me an idea of labor costs?

I believe it's 3M that also makes a spray on material that has the same abrasian resistance as the film and you'll never have to worry about bubbles or wrinkles or seams.

I had a venture sheild clear bra install, I felt this was equal or better vs 3m.Regardless what product it is, it's important to protect your paint integrity, as well as those headlights. Are cars sit so low, that it is a rock magnet. I had a certified venture sheild installer do it. 1/3 hood, all the bumper, headlights and mirrors.I had numerous quotes ranging from $550.00 to $1100.00. I went with a installer I felt comfortable with and showed me many installs in his reference book, and pictures. Be aware if you go with a installer, many install for car dealers, and can command, and get in many cases big dollars. If installed correct virtually impossible to see, unless up close. Here is a pic of mine, although when waxing the edge takes some time to clean.

It varies widely but I paid $400 parts and labor here in Houston which is on the low end. As mentioned, dealers gouge to have it done from them. I just called the local 3m shop to do it at their place.

Thank you very much for your reply. Your car looks great. I will also look into venture shield clear bra.

Here are two pics of the bra up close.Tough to see edge,my camera is only a 3.4 pixel, but at certain angles and up close it, you can see edge.
