Introduction

Howdy, It's nice to find this group and finally get my account activated, My handle is Rick Three Bears and that's actually my Native American name.
I'm the proud owner of a 2005 Nissan Xterra, 2nd. Gen. 4x4, 6 speed MANUAL transmission with the 4.0 6 cyl engine. I spent most of my life in the Washington, DC area. I decided I wanted something different and now I live in Bucerías, Nayarit, Mexico. A small town just north of Puerto Vallarta. When I moved here, I sold everything that would not fit into the truck and headed south. Before I left I had my long-term mechanic do a thurough once-over of everything which included replacing all hoses, brake lines,and lights. I put Bilstein shocks all around and some nice-sized mud & snow tires on it. The truck has 74,000 original miles on everything except the engine which was replaced at 16,000 miles due to a factory defect. She looks great, runs great and if I can figure out how to post a picture I will. Anyway, glad to be here and am looking forward to learning some things and maybe making a few friends.
