I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm Lady Q and my car's name is Goldie. I'm Papa D's daughter who bought the 1995 Q45 in near mint condition. I wanted to thank you for all your help regarding the key fob.

Welcome to NICO Kristen. Did the Fob reprogramming work?

If your Q is in as good a shape as Papa has desscribed then you'll find it to be a joy to own and drive. You are going to have to get your hands dirty (or your Dad's) once in a while to keep it running that way and that's why this forum exists. Take the time to learn how to use the search function, download the FSM, and visit NICO often to keep abreast of current posts and issues other Q owners are having. If you're mechanically inclined or not, one day it will all click and you'll begin to understand how to keep your Q running properly. Many of us go years with no issues if proper preventative maintenance is followed.

Please make the drive to Cocoa Beach and take Jay up on his kind offer to look at your Q. He's a wealth of information and a nice person. Good luck.

Wow Lady Q, that was quick, and at six O'clock in the morning no less, lol. We will have to take a trip to Cocoa and see Jay, that was a very kind offer he made.

I was looking at rear stereo speaker alternatives today and found these guys that repair the factory speakers which might be worth a look since they are right up the road in Longwood.

I also called the Flying Window Tinter's who originally did your tint and although they offer a lifetime warranty now, they didn't back when it was originally tinted so I'm afraid they want 175.00 to strip the old stuff and put on new but that is a bit of a discount which was nice of them.

All their film is lazer cut so they won't screw up your rear defroster installing new tint and the shop is indoors which means less contamination under the film.

It's the speaker-mounted amps that are bad, not the speakers themselves.

In FL, it's all about infra red rejection. Huper Optik Stark 30 isn't cheap since it is a ceramic film, but it actually works in the infra red range, not just the visual which is trivial.

Definitely go meet Jay.

Thank you very much and yes I think it will be worth the trip to take Jay up on his offer. It would be nice to see what another Q owner honestly thinks about the car. I know I do have some minor things that I need to do to the car but I'm looking forward to keep it clean and maintaining it. It drives like an absolute dream and I have to say I have never driven a dar that drives so well and smooth. I honestly believe that I got it for a steal. I'm definitely in love with this car and keep it around for a while.

As far as the fob problem I did get into the FSM and looked up the part about the key fob problem but I am still having problems trying to get it to work. The one fob that has been used the most beeps and everything but when I followed the directions like it said I'm still not able to get the hazards lights to flash. The spare fob I think needs a new battery b/c it does not beep at all.

I am also trying my hardest to learn how to use this forum which takes a little bit getting use to since I've never used one before but so far I think I'm doing pretty well. Papa D and I spent about 2 hours the other night going through the service records and organizing them to figure out what should be fixed sooner rather than later and what not.

I'm really in love with this car and I want to treat it with respect that the car deserves by maintaining it and keeping it clean. I do have one question, however; would you recommend actually using the sunroof. When I took it to the shop I was told that it had been pretty well lubricated and I shouldn't have really any issues but I'm not sure on whether or not I should use it or how often to make sure that it works b/c I know that the repairs on it are expensive where they have to remove the backseat and front seats in order to repair it from the information that Papa D looked into for me.

Thanks Dad for continually looking out for me and helping me with things. I appreciate all your help and knowledge and I will check out the links tomorrow when I get home b/c I'm sure we have more things to write down in my little book regarding the maintenance on the car and everything else.

None of the fobs for the 1995 G50 beeped. Check the FCC numbers. I am sure they are the incorrect units.

Didn't Nissan/Infiniti offer a lifetime fix on these amps? Dealer did my rear ones, and I sent the fronts to Infiniti, all w/o charge. Worth a check. I know Nissan has a life-time fix policy on seatbelts, my M30 on the 3rd retractor fix. Good Luck!

good thought, but the recall only applied to 90 and some 91 models.when you and papa are ready to drive over, just hit me an email. we'll check out your speakers/amps and see what it needs.goodyq45 can set you up with known working used amps, and i do what the guys in longwood do on rebuilds for a lot less.

Most of the good results were from Bose itself in that they replaced the front also quite frequently.
