"Converted" in Cali by the company ASC(American Specialty Cars)

240sx Coupes were sent from Japan to US, then the Cali company was hired to convert them to Verts. So just the extra bracing, parts that had to be changed, and convertible top parts were done in Cali.

Damn I was beat.

Well most of the snow is melted so I decided to bring my car back out after 6 months to see how it drives. I forgot how awesome this car is compared to my beater Corolla lol. Right now the 240 is on coilovers in the front but stock in the rear. Somehow one of my dampening adjustment knobs got damaged so I'm waiting for my new one before I throw the rears back on.

Here are the pics. My friend just put some new wheels on his Cavalier as well so hes pretty excited.

I also tried to put on my rear Vertex style bumper. The key word is style lol. That **** didn't fit at all and I had to return it. The guy who sold it to me was a good guy and choose to overlook the small cracks and scratches I made from trying to stretch the bumper on. Here are those pics:

Spec V wheels give it a nice clean OEM look. I hope you're using bolt-on spacers... What happened to your 962's?

Yep, they are bolt on spacers. I still have the 962s but they have new R comps mounted on them. I'm saving them for the track.

Hit up an autocross a couple of days ago. Here are a few crappy pics. I'll upload more when the other people taking photos upload them. You can also see some of the damage from a small fender bender I got into. The body should be repaired this week.

Nice pics!

You need something on the *** of that car - valances, new bumper cover, something... I'm sure you know, but I just have to say it to keep my conscience clear.

So how'd you do?

Yea, I really need a rear bumper, but I need better brakes and more power before that lol.

The car actually performed really well. The track was pretty short and only has 1 short straight so my lack of power didn't seem so bad. I could close up on the high horsepower cars under braking and cornering mainly because of my R compound tires and my skillz lol. The only car that destroyed me in all areas was that white Evo that you can see behind my car in the second pic.

I think my pads are glazed and my brake fluid is boiled now though cause my pedal goes like right to the floor haha. Time for big brakes methinks.

Update, the car is now KAT and also has Z brakes with Hawk HP+ pads in the front.

Sr-t25370cc injz32 fuel pump jgs oil line kitSummit racing oil cooler kitSr smic sr downpipe.stock exhaustplx m300 widebandsafc2enthalpy tuned ecuboost set to 7psi

Oil cooler install a few days before ka-ting

took off clucth fan and shroud / stock header / block off egr

ka injectors out - Sr 370cc in .. we broke a couple trying to take them out

T25 / smic

Oil pan removal.. was made x2 harder with the 4 point underbrace.had to jack up the motor from the Ac bracket. and loosen the front sway bar in order to get the oil pan off

Turbine install/ we used the Sr coldpipe with the KA connection to the TB. The polished project silvia hotpipe did not work so we had to make a temp hotpipe from exhaust piping.

I've been driving it around for a few days now and it drives mint. You wouldn't even know the car is boosted in regular driving but when you throw the hammer down, it moves pretty good. The car is also dead quiet because of the turbo and recirculated BOV. All you hear is the turbo spool. Let me know what you guys think.

TREMENDOUS PROGRESS!

I'm digging that you do all the work in a parking structure and o the side of the street. Nothing screams hardcore like working in the elements. LOL.

Well I haven't posted here in a while so I just wanted to share a little update.

At the beginning of 2009, my KA-T exploded like all the others lol.

I ended up putting in a SR20DET with some bolt ons. I ran the car for the rest of the reason as a daily driver and a few lapping days.

Then I decided to sell the car since I would like a less flexible and heavy chassis since I love doing lapping days and autocross. The vert looked great and was nice on sunny days but the chassis flex was unbearable to me, and the weight really showed at the track.

I got a decent amount of cash for my vert, and bought a S13 Silvia from my sister. She had purchased the car last year but did not have a license so I decided to buy it from her.

And here it is:

I had already started modding it in the pics. Overall, it was a great decision for the chassis change. The driving dynamics and feel are much better in the Silvia.

Here are some of the significant mods I already added to it:

- HSD coilovers (STANCE)- Volk Racing wheels- R32 brakes all around- T28 Turbo- Nismo 555cc injectors- 3 inch turbo back exhaust- Power FC D Jetro- R33 GTR seats

And a few mods I can't remember....
