I'm the newbie on the board so I figured I should introduce myself.
I have a 1991 240sx fast back with 180k on. I bought the car for 1k. Currentlly there are no modificatinos other than a Cusco style strut bar which has definately helped in reinforcing the riggidity of the frame.
The engine is still rocking after a breathtaking 180k but I am having the transmission replaced by this april since at 3000RPMS it's making a high pitched wheezing sound, sounds almost like a loss of compression. Minor slippage in 1st and second gear.
There is body damage on the p/s fender and small wear and tear on the original body. The paint on the passenger side is oxidized to hell and back.
I'm having the time of life trying to find a replacement fender for the p/s, but if anyone has one laying around please let me know!

I'm looking into the Sileighty front conversion but that is much farther down the road
I imagine I will try to replace the front clip with the SR20DET & transmission combo (hopefully) before I worry about the front conversion.
By any chance does anyone know if I can drop the SR20 in without swapping the transmission at the same time?
Currently I'm running on an automatic transmission, but I would like to be able to swap out the engine and keep the same transmission for the time being and later on worry about replacing the transmission with a 5 gear.
Any info on that would be much obliged!
