Next to the Battry box? That's the heater box and blower motor.

That truck is incredibly cool. What are you looking to do with it?

Just fix it up as a stock driver. I may paint and upolster it but I'm not doing a frame up on it. I will replace what I can with NOS parts as they pop up.

That's awesome. It's definitely a cool truck - make sure you get pics up if you redo anything

Nice looking ride! I did not realize they sold trucks slammed in the front like that back then!

It was the last year they used a straight axle with some sort of torsion system intigrated into it. It will be interesting to see if it will actually drive with those cool old wheels and tires. I'm storing a car cover and some tools in the cab. I'll take some more pictures later. The other side is cleaner. This one has an after market second gas tank in it.

Well It's been a while! I started working on the truck last week! I cleaned up the wiring and under the hood. I fiddled with the carb a bit and changed the oil and it fired right up. It diesels when I shut it off but I'll figure it out. To the guy who called the rust in the rockers. Yep there sure is! Here's a shot! This is the worst of it. :) I'll be posting more pictures so anyone who happens along can see what a stock 222 is and what all's there. I could use an accelerator pump plunger if anyone knows a good place to find this stuff, speak up.

In 1960 the trucks sold better than the passenger cars. At that time Mr Katayama was hand delivering cars to the dealers so who knows, he may have driven this one.
