Hi Everyone!

A little about me. I am a computer programmer from Florida. I'm coming from an extremely powerful Toyota MR2 (285 hp). I needed something more comfortable and reliable. It's been in the shop for three weeks now, with no end in sight.

I am now the proud owner of a brand new versa SL. I am in love with the CVT. I'm excited to join the Versa community.

I'm hoping to do a major sound system upgrade to my vehicle. Right now, I'm taking my old MR2 subwoofer, amp, and head unit. Hopefully I can get some bump going. I know the Versa can do better; the MR2 has a single 12" in a truck box. I'm looking to upgrade to two 12" subs and some better speakers all around. I am also interested in a carputer.

I really really want Steering wheel audio control. Unfortunately, the convenience package was not available. Can we get this installed?

I also want HID lights and fog lights.

I'm looking forward to joining your community. :-)

Any advice you want to give me is greatly appreciated. I'm excited to learn about my new ride.

Howdy.

If you are going to change the audio that much you will probably want an aftermarket headunit, so the stock steering wheel controls wouldn't do much good. The do have aftermarket steering wheel controls though.

Welcome aboard!

If you replace the factory headunit and have radio controls on the steering wheel then you can use a PAC SWI-X to get the controls to actually work with the new head unit.
