Introduction: My beautiful new (for me) 2001 White Pathfinder

About 4 weeks ago I bought a really really well kept 2001! And 2 weeks ago I totaled it!

The good news is I bought ANOTHER very nice 2001 only in silver! Hey, I know what I like!

So here I am just playing around, nothing drastic.



After the fun, I am driving OUT of the park and I run into this....



Question: Based on the picture above, who would you say was at fault? Note that my car is in the exact spot of the accident as seen by the parts lying on the ground.

I have no idea just looking at the picture. It depends on what the road visibility was like (turns/bushes/trees blocking view). But you're on the right side of the road, so I'd say it's the other vehicle more so than you.

How the hell was that totaled? Just looks like a new hood, headlights, fog lights, bumper etc are needed

I'm on my second 2001 pathfinder also there great.

Congrats and condolences on your R50's. From your pic and no account on exactly what happened there's no way of judging who's at fault.

Naladude, unfortunately the "hidden" damage because the other vehicle was a TANK and higher than mine so the radiator air box, etc were all pushed into the engine! To tell you the truth I was kind of glad because it never would have been the same IMO you know? Also, I actually ended up getting about a grand more than I paid for it which was nice!

Can't tell who's at fault from the pictures. Sorry to hear about that pathy and it happens after you have what looks like a great time driving around before.

From the looks of it, it looked as though u may have also damaged your rad as it looks like coolant is under the vehicle. Maybe frame damage too.

That really does suck. Whats the new pathy look like???? pics???

Just wanted to let you all know the results of the insurance company findings. As of now they have determined that the other driver was 100 percent at fault because even though it was a dirt road he was on the wrong side as determined by the photo above and the other drives photos. Oh, we both have the same insurance company! This made me feel a little bit better because he really was being an a$$h0le after the accident. He wasn't even going to exchange information saying that it was nobodies fault and that I was just a "weekend" wheeler. I almost asked him what HE was doing there on the weekend then?? Oh well it's over!

I will post some photo's of my new ride probably next weekend after I go back to the same place to have some more fun!!

judging by the looks of his truck and his driving style, id say he is a douche bag. does he think hes a desert racer in that piece of junk ?? i bet those 20 year old Yota brakes couldnt even lock those tires up on dirt.
