Introduction and question...

Hello all. I am new to NICO club. I have a 2008 Nissan Sentra that I purchased in June of last year. I have a question....after I installed my headunit my airbag light started flashing and is doing so now every time I start my car. Any one know how to reset or turn it of? I disconnected the battery for a while to see if that worked, but had no luck. Any info would be great! Thanks in advance!!

First off, welcome to NICO!

As for your question, we have a few 07+ Sentra owners who have aftermarket stereos. I'm sure one of them will drop in soon with an idea.

The only thing I can think of is that somewhere in the install process you might have unhooked the wrong wire or something the like?

There's a sequence you have to follow to stop the flashing light. You can google it and find it. I'll post it here:

HOW TO STOP THE AIRBAG LIGHT FROM BLINKING -------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Turn ignition switch from OFF to ON. 2. Within 1 second after air bag warning lamp is on for 7 seconds and turns off, turn off ignition switch. 3. After ignition switch is turned off, wait for more than 3 seconds. 4. Repeat steps 1-3 two more times (3 OFF to ON sequences in total) 5. Turn ignition switch to ON. 6. Turn ignition switch OFF and wait for more than 1 second then turn it back ON.

The blinking airbag light should stop.

It's supposed to work, but I've never had the need to do so. I suggest trying it out. Good luck!
