Post

Hi everyone,

I come from the land down under.

My weapon of choice is a White 1999 Nissan Series 2 Pulsar Plus with a GA16DE.

Here's how it started out;

Bought it in early 2008, stock standard.

But then the modification bug bit me.

Got some SSS headlights with the black surrounds, corner indicators and clear side indicators.

This is how it looked after those mods

Then it was time for some foglights and a VZR grill.

Genuine fog lamp switch

Some more pics with the car washed lol

Then some engine touch ups began...

Then the Quad Tail Light Conversion

Debadged rear

SSS cluster

My new head unit I installed a few weeks ago. (also 6 x 9s but no pics of them atm).

Interior shot

SSS leather handbrake lever

SSS centre console with lid

Here's my latest project, yet to be finished, still awaiting parts

AD22VF bigger brake upgrade

The day after I got them, I couldn't help myself, so, I dismantled them.

I also ordered my caliper rebuild kits from Race Brakes Sydney.

That weekend I planned to start the cleaning process. But unfortunately I got a tummy bug So with that weekend written off, this weekend I had to get started on the cleaning process. I tell you, this was a bastard to do. A s***load of degreaser and wax and grease remover sandpaper, and a wire brush, and, of course, the key ingredient patience got the job done.

And then I got the primer coat on. Waited for it to dry and got some painting going on!

Very nice.

Don't forget to check out the G20 forum, which should have your Pulsar covered pretty well.zeroforum/53

***UPDATE***

AD22VF installation complete.

This was pretty straight forward. Except for the weather.

I only managed to take the photos with the wheel on as I had to get it done because the weather was being ghey.

So I will get some with the wheel off.

What is the setup?

*AD22VF Calipers rebuilt with brand new piston and kit. Painted red.*DBA Slotted discs*Goodridge braided brake hoses*EBC green stuff brake pads

And they are fantastic brakes.

Cheers,Nathan.

Sweet ultra clean pulsar. The ones that I've seen when i was in Japan were rusted or beat up. Keep up the good work.

Look what arrived in the mail today!

BC BR Type coilovers!

They were a bargain too, as they're second hand. But they have done less than 1000K's.

I'll be installing them tomorrow after work.

I'm pretty stoked, to say the least.

Cheers,Nathan.

Very nice car, very respectable mods.

My only complain is the pod box. Do you have a fender vent for that to get cool air comin in from underneath? I would think having the filter covered in such a way would hinder it's ability to get cool air.

Other than that, kudos on a nice lookin ride.Bet it's going to look hot dropped down a few centimeters.

A nice set of 17 messhies would look hot on that car.

Got the coilies in!!! They look and feel fantastic. Just need to get it fined tuned a bit, like wheel align etc..

Might get the rear highened slightly as the exhaust is scraping the drive way ever so slightly.

Anyway heres some pics...

Can't get over how awesome they are!!!

Cheers,Nathan. :D

I'm loving this build thread and rims is an awesome match with the design. The only thing I would change on your suspension is raising the back or was it parked up with alot of stuff in the back? Anyway keep up the great work.

Thanks mate!

Nah, the rear is a little lower than the front. I will be fixing that up.

here's a pic I took at work. You'll notice the nice 350Z parked behind me...

Why Is This Awesome Thread Not In Gen. Chat?

Cool Car, But I Don't Understand The Benefits Of That Intake Box.

I Would Probably Relocate The Battery To The Trunk And Put The Intake There.

Not sure what you mean about Gen. chat thread.

One benefit of that pod filter box is that I won't get defected by police for a non enclosed air filter box.

another benefit is that its sheilding it from heat. But I want to find a way to be able to get cold air to it...

Any suggestions?
