Well, I've finally put together some photos of my first brand new car I purchased two months ago here in Rhode Island. I'm 27, and I never thought this day would happen!

Some history... In 2001 I aquired my first Nissan which was a 1993 Sentra XE, basically drove the car into it's grave at 204,000 miles, (at that point the electrical system went, and I didn't want to fix it.) In 2006, I purchased a 1998 Maxima SE with 100,000 miles on it... The Max has about 140,000 on it now and I've sold it to a friend who adores it, I've always kept it up for a 10 year old car and most people couldn't tell it was that old. Many people ask me why I downgraded and went from a Max to a Versa, and I quite easily tell them. I enjoy small cars, and my new Versa is no exception. As much as I missed the pickup and speed of the Maxima the versa provides everything I need in a much smaller package, and better gas mileage.

I was very specific about the color and option packages. I wanted the SL Hatch in Sapphire with the CVT and moonroof. The MSRP on the sticker was 19,070.00, after two weeks and visiting nearly half a dozen dealerships in the area I purchased the car for $16,600 with taxes and registration. The deal went to Inskip Nissan, very smooth transaction.

Almost 2,700 miles and going strong and I'm simply in LOVE. I've read some of the posts here about some unlucky owners, so far, my third Nissan and I'm still believer that they make the some of the greatest cars around.

Very nice V, have fun congradz. I like small cars too. I sat in the Ford Fusion and it felt too big, and im not a small guy either, and the plastic in the ford felt really cheap compared to nissan.

I wonder how long it's going to take Ford & GM to discover that small and cheap aren't synonyms. Of course, I've been wondering the same thing for at least three decades.

That's a clean V dude, I envy it. It's loaded with everything! I suggest you get the all-season weather mats, it will keep the carpeting looking newer, longer. Is it possible to tint the moonroof glass?

They didn't have any Moon roof or Audio packages at the dealership when I bought mine. My next car I buy in the future will have a moonroof and a factory upgraded stereo system with a sub.

When I purchase my Kenwood amp and 12" sub, it will be equivilant to an "aftermarket" audio package, I guess. Again, welcome to NICO!

Looks like it already has a decent dose of tinting. Look at the color of the leaves through the roof compared to out the side window.

Some advice: never ever pay the price premium for a factory upgraded sound system. You can take that money and put in your own system, often finding equipment that costs around the same and performs exponentially better.

If my wife wasn't adamant about keeping the factory 6-disc, I'd be able to get away fairly cheap with a full system upgrade:

1. HU - $100-3002. Front Comps - $75-4003. Sub - $65-1354. Amp(s) - $150-6004. Misc Install H/W - $505. Wiring - $756. Sound Deadening: $135TOTAL: $650-1695

Keep in mind, this could include used equipment from car audio forums and getting things at places like SonicElectronix, WoofersEtc, or OnlineCarStereo.

Since the 6-disc has to stay and I want an all out SQ system, here what I figure the overhaul will run me:

1. RF 3Sixty.2 - $4002. Speakers - Pioneer TS-C720PRS - $2503. Sub - not sure, but probably a 10" shallow so I can mimic the factory installed look. - $100?4. Amp - Alpine PDX-5 (run the front comps active through the 3Sixty.2) - $4204. Install and Fabrication H/W - $1005. Wiring - KnuKonceptz - $756. Sound Deadening - RAAMmat BXT - $135TOTAL: $1480

May seem like a lot, but consider that a well installed and tuned stereo system consisting of only front comps and a sub will sound so much better than any stereo system from any OEM, imo.

Thanks for the reply. I ordered the car without the kick plates and the IPOD Adapter. They were both port installed options that came with the car after it was assembled in Mexico. The IPOD Adapter was $290 and the kick plates were $130.

Those prices were not factored in the financing so they were added extras that came with Ivy. I must say the kick plates add a nice touch to the door sills, and I've probably would have purchased them some time down the line. I don't own an IPOD, and at the moment don't really need one cause I'm able to load 6 MP3/WMA CD's which hold about 70 songs each So I'm able to hold 420 songs on 6 slot loading CD's.

As far as the audio package it was a factory package that I didn't order. However, it was factored into the price of the car. The Audio Package was $300 dollars and included upgraded Clarion speakers and a 100 watt Fosgate sub. It's a total of 280 watts with 6 speakers and the sub. It adds better separation and greater thump on the low end. My biggest gripe about the factory setup is the lack of a center channel. The sound is heavy on both sides but not in the center, and don't have an option on the din to change it. Oh well.... I've gotten used to it, and for 300 bucks, it add it's a nice upgrade without breaking the budget.
