How To Measure?

The widest point of your tire and wheel combination is usually the outside diameter of the tire sidewall. Using a ruler with the straight edge flush with the face of the tire, measure the gap between the outer face of the tire to the inside lip of the fender as shown in the diagram. This will determine the thickness of the spacer you will need.

5MM = 0.197 INCH15MM = 0.590 INCH20MM = 0.787 INCH25MM = 0.983 INCH

You should mention that camber, roll/pull all drastically affect what size spacer you can fit, and how flush the wheels end up fitting. Spacing a wheel out so that it just barely clears the inner fender lip is kinda pointless, because they will still be sunk, and won't look much better. Anybody buying spacers should buy them in a large enough size so that the wheels will barely clear the fender after rolling. Your measurement shows the distance to the inner fender lip, but people should be measuring to the outer fender edge, and then rolling.

Cliffnotes: You can't have flush wheels without fender rolling. If your wheels are sunk, buy spacers large enough to require fender rolling.
