Just bought (my first new car) a 2009 Altima 2.5 S yesterday and still learning the ins and outs.

I traded in a 2005 Altima so not new to the model but learning the ins and outs of the new features will be fun. Especially the keyless ignition! So worried about locking the key in the car

I live just outside Boston.

I'm not sure if the 2.5 S is the same as my 3.5 SE, But if I have the Pass door/s locked and I lock the drivers door by hand and close the door with the key inside the car. The door unlocks itself and the car starts to beep. Same thing if I leave the key in the truck and the doors are locked. The truck will pop open after you close it. I'm not sure if you have a sedan or coupe. I have a coupe. Try to do this for yourself, but make sure the spare key is near by. Just make sure the spare isn't in your pocket, but in your house or something. Welcome to NICO and I can't wait to see picures of the car.

you shouldn't worry about locking the keys in the car. it's got a failsafe so that if the car senses the keys inside the car it won't let you lock it, but beware there are some dead spots in the car where it won't sense the keys. same goes for the trunk, the car won't let you lock them in, if you ever find your trunk keeps on popping open after you close it, chances are that your keys are in there.

and enjoy the ride! you won't be dissapointed with the alti

C'mon now...don't be saying that! You need to take pics because that car is different, IT IS YOURS!!!! No other Altima can hold that title, haha

I took pics at stock, just for future reference mostly, and because I just love to look at my car, haha
