Hi, this is my first post. My wife and I are proud owners of a 2014 Nissan Rogue S AWD (red). I did not get on this site to gripe about the Rogue, rather to praise it. We have owned the Rogue for about a month, took an emergency trip to California and back last week. We averaged 29.3 MPG (the best being 33.6 and the worst being 27.5). We have had absolutely no problems with the car despite getting some questionable fuel between Rapid City, SD and Sacramento Ca. I am still getting used to the fact that it is a CV trans with no distinct shift points. Not a problem, just different. The more I drive the more I like it.
I traded a 2014 Ford Escape (1.6 turbocharged AWD) purchased for the advertised MPG figures. The Ford did not get even a little close to the advertised MPG figures. I was very unhappy with it overall.

I,m back with Nissan again and loving it. BB

Very nice! Another part of 'dumbing down' the driving experience: use the cruise control as much as possible - this will improve fuel economy even more :-)

And, if you can let me / us know: does fuel economy jump after the first oil change?

Tracking your fuel average on Fuelly.com also is fun - the trip computer / display is most of the time 'a bit generous'.

Enjoy!

We have another 400 or so miles before the oil change. Will let everyone know about mileage. BTW I did use the cruise as much as possible on our California trip. Heading North in a few days, will see how the mileage is at 65 on two lane roads. BB Don't know about fuelly yet, will check it out. BB
