Car: Scamming rides cause I'm carless, computers and amateur wrenching

Post

Hi,I'm new here but I've been poking around on the older threads for a couple of weeks. I blew up my KA and lost my job within 2 days of each other, but start work at a new repair shop in about 2 weeks. I'm shooting for about 375 rwhp, and I pretty much have my engine built on paper/in my head but I still have a few things keeping me up at night. I don't trust anyone here in my town or the surrounding area to do any machine work for me, does anyone know of a good shop that will take mail orders? Nothing too big, I plan on the Greddy intake manifold and would like to have the head port matched and polished, along with a throttle body bore and ground & swirl polished valves. I know good work is expensive, and I don't mind that. I just want someone with experience with the SR, who isn't going to screw up my motor. Any recomendations? Later.

Ryan

I would look into McKinney motorsports, and see if they have any sort of package they can set you up with, but im not sure if they do machine work...there are some people out here, but im on the other side of the country...i only recommend them, because i know he has a built SR, and knows what to do, so if you have, or get the internals u plan to use, i would assume they can put together a nice package for you....contact them is my recommondation. (or go to wherever does ari yallon's car in texas)

Thanks, I have heard good things about McKinney on this board, I'll give them a call. I just moved here from LI about 1 year ago. Great scene out there, alot of cool people. Anyway, better get back to work, take it easy.
