I've owned an automatic 1990 Nissan 300zx TT since April 2011. I live in the Toledo, Ohio area (NW Ohio) and currently working at SG Imported Car Parts and going to school for a Computer Science degree. I've lurked on the forums since I've owned the car. My other name was RipMr2 but I've never formally created an intro post, I think. Anyways, I'm trying to be more active and thought I should try again.

This is my first bought and owned (under my name) car. I currently drive a Toyota Corolla DX 1.6L Wagon as my DD. I bought the Z so I could have my own project car. I bought it with 73k on the motor and 82k on the chassis. Current mileage is at 80k on motor and 89k on chassis. I take it to the drag strip a couple times every year and only drive it on the weekends. I bought my Z with an intake, full 2.5"exhaust, GReddy Profec B Boost Controller, HKS Turbo Timer, Apexi AFC (default setts and not tuned so I dc'ed it), boost, AF gauges, Unorthodox Crank Pulley, and an AshSpec tune. The motor is from a 1996 TT Z and had the water lines, egr, and aiv deleted. It had some heavy nasty 7.5" Motegi wheels with taller tires on the fronts and very tired rear tires lol.. Drilled/slotted rotors and ss brake lines. Then misc Z1 hoses and gold painted valve covers (oh boy). Best time when I first got it was 14.16 seconds at 9psi. Last time I ran was last fall 2012 and ran a 13.44 at 12psi with nismo 740cc injectors, a new tune from SpecialtyZ and no other changes. I was running with those crappy tires that originally came with the car, lol. I also had it on a Mustang dyno and it made 276whp at 12psi.

The interior is very nice but the exterior has been painted once, passenger side fender has a small dent and the weather stripping is a bit tired. The original rubber spoiler is beginning to rot away. There is also a nice little rust spot on the driver side near the rear wheel. Can't see it unless you're under the car but still sucks knowing it is there.

I don't plan on going crazy mod like with this car. I do plan on converting the auto to manual when it starts getting boring at the drag strip. Maybe once the turbos go out I'll upgrade those as well. I was liking the way the car was running last summer/fall but ran into problems after my last oil change in late November before I put it away for the Winter. Still not sure what the knocking noise is but it isn't bearing related. Hopefully, I'll have the car on the road again in the mid fall-ish time.

Anyways, I've done quite a bit to the car since pulling the motor. New intercoolers, alum radiator, wheels and tires, a better wire tuck, painted engine bay, and lots of other stuff I'll get to later.
