intro and a few questions

What's up? New to the forum and honestly, new to having a car worth modding.. Although I did have a 300zx for a while it was in such bad shape that it wasn't worth putting the money into. I'm more into bikes but I finally have a nice car and I can't leave anything I own alone for long so here I am.

Just inherited an 07 sentra 2.0 cvt from my wife who gets to drive the brand new subaru legacy. My sentra has just turned 100k miles and still runs great. I was thinking I'd like to throw an exhaust and intake on it but was wondering if it would be worth the money and if my fuel economy would suffer...Also I hate the sound of those fart can mufflers and would want to put on something that sounds a bit more refined.

Also I'd like to put my sub in the trunk from my last vehicle but keep the stock radio as it has the controls for the trip computer...where is a good place to run the remote wire from?

Hey, take that back. Not everyone cares about the sentra like I do....lol
But I do hear you when you have alot of views and no one even tries to respond. I hate that as well.

Anyway, when you put and exhaust and intake on, there are two main factors involved.
On the intake side, you have to consider whether you want a cold air intake or short ram intake.
For the exhaust, it' only beneficial if you change the entire exhaust, meaning from header straight back to the muffler. The type and sound of the muffler you choose has to come from listening to various sound clips of different combinations of header and exhaust. Youtube it.

Stereo, that should be an easy one. Look in your FSM for the stereo's aux wire and use that.
