Ok so this morning I went to install my subframe spacers... Long story short, everything went smooth (except not having air tools) but on the drivers side, I could only get one spacer in.. Im using the SPL ones, that og on the top and bottom, and I could only do the top one.... With the bottom one in place, i could not bolt it up... The weird thing is the spacer seems to be firmly planted at the top, so its not a matter of bad installation... All the other ones are OK as well.

is this bad???? right now the car seems to be fine, its sitting down and is all put together with 7/8 spacers..

I like using that word, it makes you sound very smart .. After you say the word qualm, i feel like asking someone to pass me the grey poupon...

Its the little things that help with boosting your ego, by yourself..... I can DIY anything, even my ego!!

Can't help your ego if you don't use it right though.

1. A sudden feeling of sickness, faintness, or nausea.2. A sudden disturbing feeling: qualms of homesickness.3. An uneasy feeling about the propriety or rightness of a course of action.

You have more of a "quandry" or a "concern", as 'qualm' is typically used in the negative -

"You should have no qualms about leaving one spacer in where there should be two."

Gotta be a reason that last spacer won't go in.

Need more info on *how* it won't fit.

Better yet, PICS.

Well heres what I did.... I did everything like the instructions on SPL's website.. I was thinking going into this, no way I can screw this up or something will go, this is brainless 240 stuff!! However, I forgot that im dealing with an infiniti Q45, so everyhting is always harder...

I jack the car up, set it on stands, and loosen everything, lower the suspension down just a little to slide the top spacers in... once I get the top ones in, I raised it back up to bolt it back on with the bottoms on... All of them went back in, except the drivers side front one... it didnt seem like it was all the way up, but I didnt check at that time. So what I did is snugly tightened the nuts back up, then took my jack and jacked it up right there... No go, same thing.. however, plenty of threads when the spacer was out...

I could get my finger on the top of the spacer and it felt like it was firmly in place on the top...

hmm maybe try getting a section of pipe or somthing that can go around the subframe bolt thing and jack up on it, so that it pushes the part around it without moving the whole subframe up.

did that make sense? haha
