[DYNO GRAPH HERE] (115.3rwkw - 154.6rwhp)

Someone please interpret my dyno graph! :PUntuned CA18DET + Exhaust + FMIC + T28 GTIR at 8.7psi (spiking to 10.7psi near end)

Seems to be running rather rich and there isn't much acceleration/pull from the turbo. Also at the end seems to be not making power (Turbo should pull all the way to redline, its a big turbo).Timing is correct & compression is 155psi all cylinders.

Any ideas? :P (Apart from common sense... "Get a tune and 14psi!").

You don't list it, but injectors should be on your list. Other than that, get it tuned properly and then go from there...

thats not to bad I would think, Isnt that 155 whp? I think my math is right, but the injectors would make a big difference.

-Ok I've overlaid my graph with another guy's who was at the Dyno Comp with an untuned T25G:http://perthmods.net/fluent/me....htmlFrom the graph it doesn't look like my power is abnormal? Simply needs tune then? (i.e. AFR's should be a dead 11.9 etc?)What do you think?

Looks quite right mate. i made 171rwhp at about 12 psi (stock T25) i think, that was tuning with a SAFC.

With the your afm in, those injectors, that turbo and a tune, i could say 250 at least for you. Get Lumpi to tune it at Hyperdrive, he is a CA lover.

Yeh i'm contemplating getting Lumpi to tune it for local support, but DrDrift is cheaper and i'm poor

Lumpi bought all of Sams equipment that he uses, so he'll fix the tune up in real time after you get your ECU back.

predictable results from that t28 at such low boost, untuned.

you guys are fortunate to have 'local' ca18 ecu tuners.

Is that the same 'Lumpi'(Glen?) from waaaayyyy back ?

I much prefer the dynojets readout, especially showing torque vs rpm also, with the a/f and boost in the lower frame.... seems a heck of a lot more useful to telling what a motor is actually doing throughout its rev range = perfect for tuning and analysis imo.

I dunno. that seems really low. i made ~230whp on 10psi with an s14 t28... and 270whp at 15psi. I mean I have an safc and a rom tune, but wow. 80whp difference at the same boost? You shouldn't be running out of fuel on stock injectors on 10psi. I was driving on stock injectors at 10psi for over a year. I now have dsm 460's and they're still fine at 15psi.

I'm pretty much in the same boat as you.

I made 153whp (@7000rpm) on a Mustang dyno with stock everything but a 3" catback, ARC intake box and an FP Big28 turbo. Held at 6.7psi to redline.

I don't have a wideband yet, but I know I'm running rich and I was hoping for a little more power... so I don't know whether to chalk it up to the running rich or maybe the turbo doesn't quite wake up at 7psi... will have to wait and see in the spring when I go back and tune the ECU with Rafi.

But at least you're not alone

Arh maybe, maybe not. Glen lives over here in Western Australia, he works for Hyperdrive Motorsport ( used to work for C-Red racing). He's a complete CA nut, it's just that his boss is SR/rb26 anything, so if a CA comes in, it gets bagged out, and it doesn't come back..

Other then that, he does a good work, and from what everyone has said ( he did a clean up tune on my friends 33 gtr - 532 rwhp on a pair of gt28s) he's still got the magical touch.

IDK, maybe it's because it's a mustang dyno and they tend to read low, but that just doesn't seem like good power to me. I'm making 195rwhp on the stock CA T25 @ 14-15psi. Granted I'm running standalone and high compression, but still, that's a pretty big difference. I think you need to get some tuning done....

i made 151whp/162wtq at 9psi on a stock t25 and my a/f ratio was unreadable. by the way it curved off the guy figured it was 5 or 6 to 1. it just dropped like a rock from 1500rpm and never came back. he got mad because i turned the floor of his shop black! haha. so i would say a little low, but tune it and see, it may be running crappier han you think.
