Ok here is the story. I'm the oldest of my brothers and sisters and my parents are divorced with my mom having custody and not knowing anything about computers . Recently I have found my little brother looking at pornographic images online. I know its only natural but he is only 14. What is the best filter software available that doesn't need to be renewed that you can update for lifetime. At this time he doesn't know he has been caught. I guess he thinks hes smarter than me. I guess I want to hold the whole 'BIG CONVERSATION' off till hes 16. Anything that will help, please don't hold back.

I agree with S13GUY... (holy ****!?). I'd talk to him now. Better to hear it from you than some idiots at school.

I may have a mini talk with him tomorrow. Anything you think I should say in particular.

I have no idea. I'm glad my brother is only 7. I wouldn't know what to say. Just...go with it I guess. Good luck, man. I think the best thing would be to not make him feel like he's "in trouble" but just that you are concerned for him, and would like to talk about things with him. He'd be more willing to listen to you that way...at least, if he's like most kids.

My early teen years would have been very boring if my parents put some blocker on my computer.

The body is ready to breed at 14. Better talk to him before he has three kids and a case of herpes!

LOL...

Censorship is an ongoing trend thanks to the FCC.

What is he actually looking at? Hard core stuff?

Also, filters are not the answer. I remember back in High School the IT guy installed a filter on the main server, which weeded out "inappropriate material". It was ineffective. It did actually work, but it just kind of pissed me off that we were being censored. So I spent about 5 minutes trying to get around it, and I successfully did.

So, the filtering does not do much. If he wants to look at p0rn, make sure he knows whats going on.

I don't know your parent/brother relationship, but normally it isn't your job to give your brother "the speech"
