I am looking for personal experience with a t3 super 60 using an internal wastegate. I know at higher boost levels say over 15lbs an external wastegate would be better but I am on a bugdet and I think the internal wastegate that comes with the turbo should wook fine for me at a boost level of up to say 14lbs?My total goal is 270-300hp at the wheels.

14 psi might be pushing the efficency of that turbo on the ka. plenty of poeple run 15psi on the t25 with their SR's so i dont see why a t3 internally gated cant handle 14psi on the ka

Thank you for your response. I too was comparing the t28 and t3 wastegate but after looking at both they are very different the t28 uses a open housing if you look at the way the exhaust merges, it's a very smooth transition into the downpipe and if you look at the t3 it uses a all enclosed housing, the wastegate exhaust must make a 90 degree turn to merge into the main exhaust stream. I am thinking this must be a major restriction and a possible cause of boost creep and power loss. I was actualy think of making a 5 bolt exhaust flange with a wastegate puck built into it and that would be part of the down pipe ?If anyone you know has run this t3 super 60 on a ka and would allow me to benifit from thier knowledge I would appreciate it.
