internal wastegate question. i searched...

first off, i did search and nothing came up. anyway my question: im planning on buying a garret t3/to4e, im building the bottom end on my s13 blacktop so im looking to put down 375-400rwhp. (i know building isnt necassary, but im doing it for reliability, since its my dialy driver) anyway, i was wondering if i plan on boosting around 20psi, maybe 22-23 psi max, how do most internal wastegates hold up? garret claims its good for 25psi, but the last thing i want is a boost spike at 20psi! does anyone run an internal at somewhat high boost, or should i not even bother and order an external wastegate? thanks a ton guys - LEON

Pretty sure you should go with external......buy a tial. In my opinion they are one of the best......don't buy deltagate....i know a lot of ppl who despise them for many reasons.

screw it, im going external... not worth trying to save a 100 bucks or so on an internal when it can blow your motor. thanks guys

Boost creep is more than just a name chicks call me, it kills engines. External is the way to go for the power figures you are looking for.
