See a video of what I mean here (http://www.jsment.com/Misc/Wipers.avi). Sometimes when I'm using my wipers on the intermittent setting, they will stick/stutter - always in the same spot. It's really annoying and makes a loud THUMP. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Thanks!

Something in the mechanism under the cowl is making contact with something else...

I can't remember if you can remove the plastic cowling cover on the G, but if you can, remove it and run the wipers - watch to see where the "thump" happens.

If you remove the cowl panels, its just a few clips, you can stick your head under and see the motor and links operate. I've only seen them break once, but it is possible from freezing or some obstruction make them break. The motor is quite strong and resilient. It can put out lots of torque. Enough to break your hand in 5 places. The links are kinda cheap ($20 each) but the link assembly is not ($200-$300)
