Post

Hey everyone! First post, here! I have had a 2002 4x4 LE for about a year and a half. It now has 160K miles but this truck seems like it will go forever! I hardly ever drive it but have noticed an intermittent, minor vibration around 65-75 mph...it's not always there! It needed new tires and the chrome was peeling on the wheels so it has new tires and wheels and a new full alignment. Wheels were re-balanced after 3K miles but the "wobble" is still there.

I had the dealer do a query and 2 years ago, here is what they did/found: " recall #R1108. The recall was for the left front strut housing. It was checked and found to be okay, no work needed. We also noted that the oil cooler/o ring was leaking and the front wheel bearing seals needed replacement, but the customer opted out of those services."

Do you all think the vibration is related to the wheel bearings? What else should I be looking for?

Also, I'm thinking I might keep this truck for awhile. It really checks all my boxes (except the gas mileage...any ideas there?!? LOL) Any other suggestions as to maintenance or things I should be looking out for? Again, it seems really solid; burns no oil, no leaks, tracks well, automatic shifts fine, brakes are good, newer exhaust,no rust, body/paint/glass are near perfect, AC is ice cold, etc.

Any information will be GREATLY appreciated!

Thank you!
