I have an '89 S13 with manual transmission KA24E.

The past few weeks I have had an intermittent problem when starting. It will start fine in the morning, but in the afternoon it will give me the one click like the starter is going out. After a few tries, it will start, but sometimes I have to let it sit a while. I replaced my positive battery cable gong to the starter and the battery and alternator check fine (they are less than six months old anyway).

The thing that makes me think the starter is fine is that when it does this, I try to tap the starter and it makes no difference. I just have to let it sit for a while. I'm curious what the two wires that connect to the positive battery terminal go to. When I replaced the cable, I didn't replace those.

Any help would be appreciated.
