Hey everybody,

So I have an aftermarket CD player in my Q and it was working fine for a few months until last week. Now it is intermittent and acting really weird. It cuts out when I hit the brakes or a bump in the road and then will not come back on until there is another jolt. I have rewired the harness twice and tried 3 different head units and it happens with all of them.

The stock unit works fine and does not cut out when plugged in, but I don't want to use it.

Has something similar happened to any of you?

I should also mention that the head unit stays on. Just the sound cuts out.

Tell us about your speaker setup... are you feeding the factory Bose amplified speakers, or are you running aftermarket?

Have you fixed the problem? I also have a similar issue. When braking, accelerating, or turning my CD player only provides audio to the left speakers. its not all the time but its very annoying because the radio sucks. This never happens when the listening to FM radio, I'm fighting with the warranty place to get me a new head unit but they're dragging their feet and its been about 6 months since my request. Any thoughts on how to fix by myself?
