2013 Rogue, brakes work fine 99.9% of the time. 0 leaks, everything is bone dry. Flushed brake fluid anyway.

Brake pedal feels fine for 20+ stops then the pedal will go to the floor as if it feels like there is air in the system. Brakes still work just no pedal. Once this happens on the very next stop, pedal feels normal, no issue. 20 or 30 stops later, pedal goes to the floor then all is well again.

This happens at high speeds, low speeds, idle etc. I have no reproduced it with the vehicle off but when driving can reproduce it once every 20 or so stops.

I am thinking it is a problem with the master cylinder but can't confirm that, never saw a M/C do that before, when they usually go, the pedal is dead all of the time.

Any info or advise is greatly appreciated.

Update: Whenever the pedal is pushed slowly, it goes to the floor, all speeds even stopped, when pressed hard or pumped it feels perfectly fine and everything works properly.

I am still thinking it is a master cylinder issue but figured I would elicit some feedback to make sure.

Anyone have this issue?

when pressed very slowly, the pedal goes to the floor and doesn't stop the vehicle.

Id reckon it's possible that one of seals in the master cylinder has a small leak. That could explain the lack of feel when pressing lightly but still brake under harder pressure.

Yep - I'd recommend another full fluid flush, bleed each corner. If it still acts up, it's MC replacement time (although I'd be chatting with the dealer, since it's not even 3 years old)..

It was a master cylinder. Never seen one do that before.

Hope this helps someone

Not surprised since Nissan craftsmanship has gone down the $hitter! :wtf2:
