There's some other items I'm a bit skeptical about, but every sample pic I have seen shows some really cool looking after pix! I just don't know how well they hold up, nor if they are worth the money to put in and do they look cheap or not...

Anyway here's a listing for a kit: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ZWDVW

I have a beige interior and was thinking the black carbon fiber would look cool. The exterior is a black. Would this also deteriorate the value of the car and wear off over time? Being as it's 3M backed it looks really tough.

Thanks for everyone's input with all my questions. As most know I'm no car expert and this forum has been a really great resource.

That wouldnt look too bad.

The material doesnt look bad from the pictures but if I were you id email them and ask what material its made of and how long it will hold up. And Im no expert either but it shouldnt devalue the car...but dont qoute me on that.

If all else fails, it does come off.

I personally like them as long as its not the center point of attention. Like doing all crome in a black interior or something.

I was thinking about doing the Carbon fiber, OR possibly seeing if they could do a blue carbon fiber since most other places offer it. But I have a black interior with Sapphire blue paint, so it wouldnt be an obvious add-on.

But for right now, I have more important things to spend $150 on.

It actually can devalue the car, as the adhesive will usually discolor the plastics over the course of a few years, and the next buyer may or may not like the after-market trim. I have seen some cheaper kits installed, and they really do give the car ghetto appeal. Many of these are made from cheap plastics that fade and crack over time. Be careful!

Agreed. So unless you know you are going to keep it for a very long time or just don't care, I'd possibly stay away. Also could find a wrecked V and see if you can get those pieces as 'backup' to replace if you sell the car.

some companies use just straight-up 3M vinyl and those usually wear much better and come off much cleaner... (with some adhesive remover)
