The leather on the Q45 has a special clear coat almost that prevents nearly anything from soaking into the leather so leather repair is made harder due to the layer that's lies on top of the leather.
But if I am wrong then please correct me.
But is there anything that's fixed hardening of the leather?
My back door panels are harden to the point where it looks somewhat bad and my front ones are starting to harden up.
Sorry to thread jack.
The top of the door panels including the armrest and hand-gripe on both of my 1995's (build date 7/94) is definitely leather. My 1990 is leather as well but of a thicker grade. Apparently the 1996's were vinyl. You can easily check this yourself by putting a screw driver between the hand-gripe and armrest and sliding it off. Then you can easily see and smell the back of the leather. I've had some success with Leatherique rejuvenator oil but it's best just not to let it get wet and dry out in the sun.
