Hey Guys:

I have an 2006 automatic (dont make fun of me....i do a lot of city driving in traffic)...and there is a rattle coming from the casing around the shifter. Anyone have this same problem?

Also, has anyone here tried putting dynomat or similar product under the trunk to reduce some of the road noise?

Hmm. I havent looked at the automatic shifter trim in person but I have seen pictures. What I would assume to try, is remove the trim around the shifter and possibly buy some weather stripping and cut it in small pieces. Put it in areas under the trim so it is real thin so that way the trim doesnt have 100% contact with the rest of the plastic under it. That way it wont raddle and might actually make it a bit sturdier when you clip it back into place. I dont know for sure, but wouldnt hurt to try.

I have an issue with the passenger plactic kind of vibrating when the music plays loud. I want to get some dynomat to put in there so that it cause some of the vibration to stop or stop completely. It has worked before, I would give it a shot bud.

Is your car still under warranty? I took my car back for rattles, they have kit there to stop it.
