Originally my car kept blowing the ign. switch fuse., But i tore the car apart and found a short. now I can turn the key to the on pos. and its not blowing a fuse but its having trouble starting and the interior lights arent coming on? The entire dash from driver to passenger is off but I cant seem to figure out why?
any advice

Fuses? The 94Q has an illumination fuse in the fuse box under the steering wheel That feeds the small micro bulbs but I'm not sure about the rest of the interior lighting. You can check every fuse in the box with a voltmeter without pulling the fuse in about 30 seconds. Might as well check them all.

Alternator going bad? Any warning lights? Brake light on? Check the battery voltage with the engine off (12v) and running (14v+).

With all that said it sounds like you may still have a short somewhere. Other than the electrical problems and hard start how's it run once you're on the road? Is the CEL on?

I believe there is a second illumination fuse in the box under the hood that might be worth checking. Also, make sure your dimmer switch is connected. Everything goes through it.
