Each and every time. Not sure when it came along, car has been sitting in my workshop for several years.

During down period I did install a keyless remote system, my next step is to try disconnecting it.

I tried searching forum, search indicated not possible at moment, high server load.

Any one else seen common failure snapping fuses with interior lighting circuit?

Thanks!

Also, strangely, the dome light housing itself seems to be breaking down, it is soft and sticky, all over, like the plastic is degrading. I more suspect the remote keyless, but the housing just feels wierd.
Shrugs...

The sticky dome light housing is pretty normal. Fortunately the color under that coating is correct. I took mine down and wiped it with rubbing alcohol, which took the formerly soft (but now sticky) coating off.

Well, stupid me - the lighting fuse snapping was due to the power cable to visor vanity light floating around above the headliner. It finally got to the point of being not intermittent. The visors at some point must have fallen and yanked the cable in two. Easy disconnect at at dome light itself. During the process I made a replacement dome light bezel from thin cabinet plywood, layered and beveled using bandsaw, image pending.

Looking forward to seeing your custom dome light! Visors falling were a common problem.
