hello everybody,

I seem to have a little problem with the interior light on the 2009. If I open the right rear door, the interior light does not come on, but with all the other doors, it works normal. Anybody point me to a thread or advice? thanks

It sounds like it's just the door switch not working correctly. You might try unscrewing it from the door jam and make sure it works correctly not attched to the door. It may just need to be tightened up or replaced by the dealer. It should work like all other doors.

Ditto. At least it's not broken in a way where the light stays on all the time like when I had my Neon because somebody thought you had to slam the door just to close it and broke the switch...

My Versa apparently doesn't have the option for the interior lights to come one when the doors open. You always have to manually turn it on. Didn't know auto interior lights were optional these days.

Um.....check your switch on the light itself. and also the brightness dial by the drivers side mirror control. You should be able to set it up to come on when the doors are opened. Also it comes on automatically when you use the remote to unlock the doors . At least in the sl model

On page 96 of my owner's manual it clearly states how to set the switches on the light.

Yeah, I just discovered it Sunday when I looked at a picture I took of the interior. I was looking at the light by the diver's and passenger's seats. Didn't see the light by the back seats. Since it was turned off I never looked back that way.
