the wonders of leds on a car makes it great. no, i got them from superbrightleds.cominfiniti_lineup wrote:Looks amazing! Did you get them from v-leds?
what exterior lights and fogs are you talking about? don't you already have front fogs? I don't recall there being a rear fog. if you are referring to turn signals, they are 7440.timmy0257 wrote:whenever they invented the butter knife, they had no idea how useful it would be.
LEDs shipped today. I will take some pics and post once i get them in.
Still needing bulb parts number for exterior lights. thanks everyone.
Also, does anyone know if all g35s are prewired for fog lights? if so, can i just purchase the lights and install them and be good to go?
Exterior lights=headlamps and tail lamps, including blinks and side markers. I was just unsure if these bulbs are available in LED as well.sniper27 wrote: what exterior lights and fogs are you talking about? don't you already have front fogs? your tail lamps are already LEDs. your fogs are in your headlight assembly, but i wouldn't get LEDs in those. And don't you have HIDs for headlights? your turn signals should be 7440.timmy0257 wrote:Exterior lights=headlamps and tail lamps, including blinks and side markers. fog lights= fog lights. I am only referring to fronts, because I dont recall rear fogs either. I am just curious if all g35s (mine is 08) are prewired for front fog lights? if so, could I just buy a set of fog lights and plug them in and go?
and just to be certain, all turn signals are 7440 LEDs? is that side markers as well?
If you do the turn signals, you will need to get load resistors (1 per light) or they will flash rapidly as if they are burned out. you should be able to get them from whereever you order your bulbs.timmy0257 wrote:I have never inspected my headlights that much, but yes they are HID as are all g35s (or so i thought). i just did not know if my model had bumper fogs as an option. now I know they do not. thanks for the clarifcation guys and i will be ordering my turn signals soon. cant wait to get my leds and install them. i'll get my butter knife out.
mine does it sometimes. here's a quote from myg37timmy0257 wrote:I just wanted to ask a final question.. I notice that my map lights, and other interior lights have a dim glow to them non stop. of course it is only noticeable at night. Has anyone else noticed this? I am not too concerned, but if there is power going to them all the time, then there may be other electrical issues in the car. I know LEDs are very low voltage so I doubt I will run into an issue where my battery dies on me, but I just wanted to make sure there is no larger issue lurking somewhere.
What i think is happening is just some residual power is left over and is enough to keep them on in this super super low state until the power is used up.
Think of unplugging a power pack that has an LED on it and it might stay on and then dim away as the power drains.
I cant think of anything else other than these LEDs or a tank of gas...cameljockey wrote:Dr. EVIL. thanks for the tips, i did exactly as you did and what a nice upgrade for $35. Now we just need a new topic called best $35 i've ever spent on my G! and let people go crazy with ideas.....
John.
i can't even get a tank of gas for that. costs me about $65. mehtimmy0257 wrote:I cant think of anything else other than these LEDs or a tank of gas...cameljockey wrote:Dr. EVIL. thanks for the tips, i did exactly as you did and what a nice upgrade for $35. I noticed this immediately. They all glow really dim. I noticed it when i got out of the car in complete darkness. The ignition was turned off and they still continue to glow. Weird.timmy0257 wrote:ok i paid attention to my LEDS in side for a solid hour while driving to work this morning and they has a dim glow to them the entire time. i do not mind it as it gives it a cool look, but i just do not want any other issues with my electrical syystem.
i havent hung around long enough to see if they glow after ignition is off, but mine glow when the car is on. i guess its no big deal. thanks guys!tfratzke wrote:Update. After the vehicle is off for about 20 minutes, the LED's turn off completely. So, as EvilPanda mentioned, must be some sort of residual power.
