license plate, maplights, door lights and rear door lights are all 194. i got WLED-x5
but i used a 921x12led bulb for the maplights so they are a little brighter.

cost was less than $30 from superbrightleds.com

I used a butter knife to pry off all my covers will little effort. I was nervous a screw driver might damage them. Worked great.

whenever they invented the butter knife, they had no idea how useful it would be.

LEDs shipped today. I will take some pics and post once i get them in.

Still needing bulb parts number for exterior lights. thanks everyone.

Also, does anyone know if all g35s are prewired for fog lights? if so, can i just purchase the lights and install them and be good to go?

what exterior lights and fogs are you talking about? don't you already have front fogs? I don't recall there being a rear fog. if you are referring to turn signals, they are 7440.

Exterior lights=headlamps and tail lamps, including blinks and side markers. I was just unsure if these bulbs are available in LED as well.

fog lights= fog lights. I am only referring to fronts, because I dont recall rear fogs either. I am just curious if all g35s (mine is 08) are prewired for front fog lights? if so, could I just buy a set of fog lights and plug them in and go?

and just to be certain, all turn signals are 7440 LEDs? is that side markers as well?

your tail lamps are already LEDs. your fogs are in your headlight assembly, but i wouldn't get LEDs in those. And don't you have HIDs for headlights? your turn signals should be 7440.

If you do the turn signals, you will need to get load resistors (1 per light) or they will flash rapidly as if they are burned out. you should be able to get them from whereever you order your bulbs.

i suppose people normally just do LEDs in the side markers? I may just stick to that. This is a very inexpensive mod so I dont mind trying it out.

I may just stick to the interior lights and tag lights. I am excited to see how it looks.

thanks for the help

I got my LEDS yesterday and installed them. I am super impressed with how it looks. Its a minor change, but it just looks so much better. I did not take pictures because I only have a blackberry and no digicam. I plan on putting some pictures of my car up soon. Nothing special, but I am sure everyone gets curious about everyones rides.

I just wanted to ask a final question.. I notice that my map lights, and other interior lights have a dim glow to them non stop. of course it is only noticeable at night. Has anyone else noticed this? I am not too concerned, but if there is power going to them all the time, then there may be other electrical issues in the car. I know LEDs are very low voltage so I doubt I will run into an issue where my battery dies on me, but I just wanted to make sure there is no larger issue lurking somewhere.

mine does it sometimes. here's a quote from myg37
What i think is happening is just some residual power is left over and is enough to keep them on in this super super low state until the power is used up.
Think of unplugging a power pack that has an LED on it and it might stay on and then dim away as the power drains.

I just pulled the covers off to really look at it. I do not have a dim glow after the LEDs are off. I also did this while the car is off, so I'm not sure if that makes a difference. But then again, I would only be concerned if it was drawing power constantly when the car is off anyways.

First off, thanks EvilPanda for posting bulbs that were used. I went with Natural White so they weren't so blue looking. They look great!

I noticed this immediately. They all glow really dim. I noticed it when i got out of the car in complete darkness. The ignition was turned off and they still continue to glow. Weird.

Update. After the vehicle is off for about 20 minutes, the LED's turn off completely. So, as EvilPanda mentioned, must be some sort of residual power.

update: i also noticed the slight glow only at night when i'm sitting in the car. however, like tfratzke said, i think it goes away after a while. After being parked for a while, I came back out last night and couldn't see the glow from outside of the car.
