Interior electronics not working after DOHC swap into 89 chassis

hey guys i recently put a ka24de into my 89 coupe, and putting everything in,doing all the wiring the right way, none of my interior stuff works at all.its an xe so it has all the power accessories. the motor will run fine, i drive it daily. so i was wondering if anyone had any ideas as to why NONE of the stuff on the inside of my car will work.

and ideas would be great thanks.

theres a brown clip beside your ecu if you changed wiring harnesses. It wont fit in the white you need to pop the clips on the brown pull the wires out put them in the original (white) clip and match up all the colors not to hard , I had to recently do it to my forty... your gonna need a new cluster too the sohc doesnt work with dohc

yea ive already replaced the dash plug its not that.

Windows

Locks

You get the idea

Knowing what is and isn't working will help narrow down possible fuses and relays and grounds

Everything on the inside dont work at all.dome lightgauge clusterpower windowssunroofjust about everything.

but whats weird about it is my headlights turn on but dont pop up.and my brake/taillights dont work either

yeh my 240 is the same way I rewired the brown clip and its not working headlights come on but dont pop up reverse lights work but taillights dont.

Alright. Double check your positive terminal. There should be 2 small plugs that plug into the red housing of the positive terminal. Make sure they're plugged in tightly and there is no corrosion inside the connection.

Also make sure that no grounds were undone and then not hooked back up. I know that sounds trivial, but it never hurts to double and quadruple check.

thanks I'll check mine out in the morning and let you know if it works if anyone one else knows of anything feel free to post and since the sohc ign coil doesnt work I put a dohc ign coil and theres 2 extra plugs from the single that the dual coil doesnt have

checked my terminals **** was COMPLETLEY corroded civered in that nasty orange goo gonna charge the battery and see if those windows will work today, anyone else know of any other reasons why the electronics wont work?

well still no luck on getting it working,so i guess im gonna swap the dash harness with a new and hopefully that will work. if not i guess im screwed

be sure to double check all the fuses including the ones in the eng. bay. Also check the relay(s) behind the fuse panel and wire junction (big white box near fuse panel) assembly.

haha i will.

and i got my windows up by just takeing the door panels off.and jumping power to it with a battery and they rolled right up.

take your door panel off and unplug the connector that goes to the window motor, then run two wires from it and stick the wires to a battery and they will go right up.

hell yeh one window up. One to go I couldn't get the drivers side up I tried for over an hour and the passenger went right up do you know what pins are drivers window?

GREAT NEWS!!!

I was working on my car today still trying to figure out my problem.drove it up the road for a little bit and all my stuff worked for a sec. then went back off.

pop'd the hood, and found the problem.engine fuse blew, so replaced with a new one and everything is working fine.

which fuse we have the same problem and I checked all my fuses and everything seems to be fine -thanks

the main engine fuse, is the one i replaced to make everything work.

my wasnt blew, and then i was driveing down the road and it blew, when i replaced everything worked fine.

just try replaceing even if it dosnt appear bad

yeh thanks dude I'll do that I played with my windows my drivers side just clicks over and over and wont go up but the passenger goes up and down everytime I think my regulators bad

yea prob. even after i fixed mine, it took me a while to get my drivers side window to work.

be sure to check your relays behind the fuse box inside the car.that also could be it.

yeah i had the same problem with my windows. damn regulators.
