Pretty sure I saw an M somewhere that had a chrome strip under the wood on the door. My sport did not have such a strip on the aluminum trim and when I switched over to the brushed black trim I always felt like something was missing.

New (after adding a chrome strip):

Photo does not do it justice, much more polished in person.
Easy enough to do (had to pull the door panel off to do some re-aiming of the lower tweeter). Obviously you could do it with the door panels installed but everything is easier when you pull the parts out of the car.

Thoughts?

I really like your idea. Looks better with chrome strip. I cant see clearly but the chrome strip is on the bottom of the trim or on the leather?

Bottom of the trim.
Found where I've seen it, on an 08 (wrecked car):

Any other 08+ guys have this?

I like it Dean, I think it looks nice with your darker brushed aluminum panels--gives it a more finished look. Not so sure it would look as good with the OEM aluminum trim, might have to photoshop a mock up and see.
