I was noticing that the driver door interior door panel looked like it had something on it. (My interior is black by the way) .A better way to describe it would be comparing it to a humans skin peeling. So I rubbed it and well as I thought, a coat of black translucent pieces came off. This sucks. Is the paneling dyed with the plastic or is it just a dye applied over the plastic? All I can say is, it is a cheap corner cutting part of Infiniti. They must have tried to save money on the interior parts.

I can now see different shades of black, graphite, or whatever the color is on my door panel. It's about a 2-3" diameter area. It kind of looks like where your knee would rest against! Even if it is, that's just poor quality!

That's it....sell the car...it is inferior to your chevy truck you used to have so go and get another one.

You should sell me yours, I might offer you a few hundred bucks to haul it away for you.

Geez M4T5, you've done nothing but rail on Infiniti the past couple days! Maybe it time to trade it in for a Lexus?

Sorry, but I just not having good luck with the car lately....... not my fault.... it's the cars/ makers fault. A Lexus would not be a bad alternative...... That was my other choice (07' Lexus GS 430 or GS450h). Maybe it would have been a better car or maybe not....... I don't know.

I just know I'm currently having one problem after the other with my M45. What can I say............

If you bought the car used, it may be that there was a tear there.

When they repair that vinyl trim, they used a translucent film that has the same texture as the door panel. Then they airbrush it to match.

i've seen it done a few times.

It's possible to make it peel off if you rub at it some. Is it in a location where it gets hit often by your foot?

Nah, its closer to the interior door handle. Just slightly below and to the right of it.It's the hard plastic. Not seeing anything looking like it was repaired in the past.
