OK, so here's my problem...

I have been reading the forums for several hours now and I haven't found my answers to what I need as of yet.

The digital clock in the dash of my car no longer works. I can go get a new one or find one online, but I need to know how to remove the old one. Also a lot of the lights on my climate control, and stereo are also burned out. Is there a way to replace those without a bunch of soldering?

I'm also in the market for suggestions on wheel sizing and fitment issues after installing Eibach Springs and Illumina Struts. I would like to go with at least 17" or maybe even 18" and as wide as possible without having to roll my fenders, and still have some rubber on the wheels.

THNX in advance,

the clock - pry up and pull out the center vents and you'll be able to get the clock out.

climate control - the bulbs are damn expensive at a dealership for - i was told over $6/one bulb.

Well, if the dealership will replace them for $6 a bulb that isn't too bad. I don't have more than maybe 4-5 of them out as of now. I wouldn't mind spending $30 - $40 bucks to have someone do it for me.

Thanks for the info though.

Any info on the whole Wheel/Tire/Suspension size inquiry?

ouch....you got me wrong. it's just the bulb price from a dealer - it was late last night when i was writing

as for wheel fitment...i'm not a specialist. i got some rims that i put on and they fit without spacers i have 17" by 8-9" wide but can't tell for sure because i never measured. the tires i have on them are 245/45 and 40 offset and no rubbing. 18" is a little big imo.

I had 17 x 9 on my STi. They sat quite well, but that car was a whole different creature. I wouldn't have ever dreamed of using spacers on an AWD car...I am kind of like a fish out of water having made the switch recently and am just trying to find some firm ground to stand on.

I will look elsewhere for the dash lights. I know of a couple online LED distributors that probably have what I need.
