Do what you want man. Whether a stripped out interior is significant weight savings or not it certainly adds to the "race" look of a car. Personally I think you oughtta buy some flourescent green carpet from that place that always advertises on SCC and make like a little golf course theme in the trunk. how cool would that be?! :ylsuper

Hey if you decied to leave it out, lemme know, I'm looking for interior stuff. I stripped mine, but that was because it was pretty much beyond repair.

If you don't mind the loud cabin noise, you're ok. Any little extra pounds here and there makes a difference! Depending on how driver friendly you want to car to be, there are a bunch of other stuff you can tear out.

i say leave it out, respray it with spray apint (black or red*) and get a simple thin house carpet, cut it to fit, use spray adhesive to make it stick, that should help with the sound a bit, but as it is so spacy in there why not get a removable cage installed too :)

if your going for the race look go all out, sheet of steel across the front with gauges and cut the doors at the body line...weld the bottom halfs...and then put a full cage in. also, put a brake bias controller right next to your hand brake :)

You can buy rolls or automotive carpet from Walmart for 8 bucks a roll. Usually one roll will do either the drivers side or passenger side. I did that in my Civic when I sold it.... 2 rolls, seem in the middle under the dash consol... looked great too!

get the thinnest carpet possible, adhesive spray stick it, try to get it to form to the shape of the floor and trunk etc. that what i'll be doing, get a simple cage built that bolts to the floor/chassis and can be removed if you plan to sell the car.

I am even thinking of scapping my door panels etc, just can't stand the rattle everytiime i slam the door...

are there manual windows for the 240sx??? how hard would it be to convert to manual windows?? hmmmmm....

i am tossing all the things i dont need out the interior, i want a race look though, mat NISMO grey, dark tint, roll cage, floor brace, black sparco seats, takata 4 point harness, barely any carpet, no back seat etc..
