Im lookin to clean up my interier and replace the carpet in my 04 sentra to get rid of the stains (I dont want to know how they got there ) and scratces on the dash. I would like to change it to a silver/black combination. Should I buy the panels pre colored or should i just paint them myself for the nice glossy finish. Im thinking about painting them since it would be cheaper. Let me know what you think lookin for some input b4 I start

Someone has told me about some kind of dye that you can use for this and still get the factory look. That is what I want.. I am looking to change the interior color of my 1990 z32 from Red to Black. If someone has any experience with this is may be a good product.

I used the DupliColor Vinyl and Fabric spray as a temporary thing in my hatch while I was swapping the interior out from blue to black. It worked pretty well, but I really only had it like that for less than a year. If you're going to do it, make sure you wipe whatever you're going to paint really well with alcohol or acetone to get the oils off so the paint will stick. Good luck and post before and after pics.

I heard about the dye too but I found a company online that sells precut sections of carpet to fit your car. This is gonna be a long running project as it is my DD and I cant just pull everything out to paint at once ill have to do it part by part. Ill get som pics up once I start

Stockinteriors.com or accmats.com. I thought you were saying that REPLACING the carpet wasn't in the budget.

I wasnt originally but when i took a close look after cleaning it real good, i noticed some areas where the carpet was starting to wear some holes in it, who ever had it before me eather removed the floor mats or never had them so im just gonna go ahead and replace it all. Plus itl look alot better.

Gotcha. Yeah, either of the sites I mentioned above sell carpet and mats. I've seen a few complaints about stockinteriors.com because people had to trim the carpet (search for more info on that), but I've also seen people who were very happy with them, so... Rock on.

Yea I would rather have a little too much than too little. A perfect fit would be nice but I dont mind a little trimming as long as everything fits right.

What are you going to do about all the plastic in the car? For example the dash and center console. I want to do the same thing in my car, so I was just wondering. Good luck!

Its gonna all be painted eventually, its less hassle than vinal and you wont have the frustration of trying to find a dash from another car thats not al banged up. The only problem im gonna have is the steering wheel and geer shift bc they are leather (you dont want to paint your steering wheel anyway bc itl make it slick) so Im gonna have to replace those. If you deside to paint make shure you take your time when you clean and paint it can make a huge differance. Also a paint gun helps alot in painting the larger pieces and gives you a more even coat (wont cost alot if you already have an air compressor). The cleaning is the important part as one small piece of dirt or a smudge of greese can cause it to bubble or peel.

You can take the leather off of the shift knob and there is nice clean black plastic underneath...
