so i just repaired the existing system with the factory style lights inside the clock housing. i didnt use facotry bulbs, instead i bought some lights at radio shack and modified them to work. i got the same look as factory but i really wanna put some super bright orange leds in there to amp up the brightness. has anyone done this or have any idea on what resistor to use with a 5V or 6V led. Id like it to be orange but will settle for a different color like blue or white. Basically, all i really want is some advice on what resistor to use with this system since i cant seem to find a small 12v led, lol.

any help is much appreciated.

if i make any headway before a response, ill deffinitley post what i did so anyone else can use the info with the same project.

gonna try this

white:

orange:

they will both be 3mm leds and ill probably just get rid of the mounting peice for the actual bulb and solder the leds in the clock itself. or maybe ill open up the clock assembly and see if i can use a harness or some wires some where. ill post some pics of the process if i can figure out how to.

Nice links

Yeah, changing the clock to better match the gauges would be nice. Please post up pics when done!
