Interior blower/fan question

Interior blower/fan question
Yes, I have yet another question... Recently I noticed that my heater/ac fan was acting up. When the fan speed is set on 1 and 2 everything is fine and dandy, but when it is on 3 or 4 it's a whole other story. Air still circulates around, but not nearly as much as should... It makes a terrible noise, and vibrates the whole car. I'm thinking that the blower might be going out or something... Any advice is appreciated, and also if anyone would be able to give me a round price to fix or get a new blower (if that in fact is the problem). Thanks in advance!
drop the motor down and see if something is in it. usually when they create a vibration like that something is in the cage. be warned I have pulled dead critters out of them before and yes most of them were in more then one peice since the impellers are sharp.
To drop it down look up under the glove box, you should see the blower motor,around it you will see 3 screws holding it in to the blower housing, remove the screws,unplug it and drop it down.

Great! Thanks for the advice, I was wondering what it took to get the motor out. Hopefully it is just something stuck in it... and hopfully not a dead animal; but it wouldn't surprise me to see a dead squirrel in there given that I live in the woods and they are EVERYWHERE. Thanks again, I'll see what this week holds in getting it all done.

Sorry for reviving the thread, I just wanted to add closure to it... Yes everything works now! I pulled out a tennis-ball sized gob of hair/leaves/seeds from an abandoned rodent nest....... Luckily for me there was not a dead animal in there. Good luck everyone and hope this can be used to further anyone's knowledge!
