Just bought a spanking brand new 07 murano SE in platinum (last one in Western canada...I think) and first thing I did is cover ALL INTERIOR EXPOSED ALUMINUM TRIM with a synthetic brushed aluminum vinyl and guess what...you won't even know its been covered because the vinyl is so real even the texture is almost the same.

Now I won't worry of scratching the trims with a key and pay $$$ to replace it.

I think all murano owners knows what it feels to scratch those alum. panels.

I do. I have plenty of scratches on mine from the previous owner. I'm thinking of covering them with a carbon fiber kit.

I tried using the kits that you can buy at ebay...looks cheap. If I were you, if your trim doesn't have dents on it go to a sign maker and ask for a brushed aluminum vinyl. If you are not good with a util. knife ask them to put it for you. I have asked my friends if they noticed that if its fake and they said that they can't see any difference between the real alum. and the one that is covered and it feels the same too.

I phoned a nissan dealership about those alum. trims and it cost a fortune to replace them. You need to replace the whole steering wheel to replace the buttom trim.
